Lessee's agreement
The lessee accepts the vehicle as described in this contract, acknowledges that
he/she shall be the only authorized driver, that use by any other person not named in the contract is
prohibited, that no driver shall be less than 18 years old, that he/she must obtain the prior authorization of the lessor to drive the vehicle outside of the Province of
Quebec, that he/she shall be responsible for all summary offense tickets, that
he/she shall not leave the scene of an accident before a competent authority shall have viewed any damages, that
he/she shall disclose any accidents to the lessor, and that he/she shall assume all costs resulting from any breaches to the
above. The lessee strictly commits himself to paying back to the lessor all legal expenses paid out for recovery of the sums due to the latter, as well as the fees of the lawyers
delegated to act abroad.
Restrictions on use
It is strictly forbidden to exceed speed limits, to jump the lights, to make forbidden
turns, to contravene road safety or traffic regulations, to park vehicle at forbidden or reserved places, to leave any visible object in the vehicle while parking, to travel on unpaved
roads, to
transport passengers for payment, to exceed the number of allowed places, to use the vehicle in an excessive
way, to drive while the operator is under the influence of intoxicating liquor or
drugs, to transport materials, objects or furniture on the roof, to install any towing
apparatus, to fix antennas, stands for bicycles, skis, canoe, boat, kayak,
sailboard, luggage compartment or any other accessories. Should the lessee fail to
conform, he and the driver at fault will be jointly responsible for all costs of repair and loss of use of the
vehicle. All damages caused to vehicle resulting from non-respect of restrictions on use will cancel deductible limit or
repurchase. In case of hijacking of the rented vehicle, the lessee will
continue assuming renting costs and afterwards any losses and disbursements suffered by the
lessor. The lessor reserves the right to retake possession of the
leased vehicle at any time, without prior notice.
All damage caused by negligence of the lessee, by any other driver, or by
passengers, shall be the entire responsibility of the lessee. Especially, stains, tears and burns on the upholstery or
carpeting, dirtiness, damage to accessories, grazes and scratches caused by rubbing on tree
or plant branches, vegetable gum or sea salt deposits, door smash and bumps caused by vehicle unicing shall also be the responsibility of the
lessee.

Un rapport de police et / ou un constat à l'amiable rédigé sur les lieux mêmes de
l'accident et en présence du tiers impliqué est obligatoire. Toute omission rend
le locataire financièrement responsable pour la perte d'usage et pour tous les dommages
causés au véhicule. En respect des conditions du contrat et sur présentation des
documents requis, la franchise applicable pour les réparations est limitée pour
chaque occurrence.
